STAMFORD State prosecutors will proceed with its case against a Stamford man accused of orchestrating a “long-running” dog-running scheme after they decided to waive a warrant that would have seen him extradited.
Deputy Assistant Margaret Moscati said during a hearing on Monday that the state had decided not to extradite Nygel Joseph, 23, to New Jersey, where he faces unrelated charges.
Joseph will remain in Connecticut to face racketeering, first-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit first-degree larceny, nine counts of conspiracy to illegally use a payment card, illegal trafficking in personal identifying info, animal cruelty and importing a dog without a health certificate charges, state prosecutors announced on Monday.

th Street and River Avenue in downtown Holland will receive a little package, according to Museum Education and Community Programs Manager Michelle Stempien. “We will be giving out information about tulips, the history of tulips,” she said on “WHTC Talk of the Town” during a recent appearance, “connecting it with the art in our museum, and the activity that will be going home will be supplies and instructions to make two origami tulips.”

STAMFORD Four city residents used stolen identities to purchase puppies from around the country and sell them out of a Glenbrook home, police said.
Assistant State’s Attorney Elizabeth Moran said the Stamford residents were the masterminds behind a “very pervasive and long-running” dog-running scheme.
