ALLIANCE – The city plans to purchase two new cruisers for the Alliance Police Department.
City Council voted during a meeting Monday to allow Director of Public Safety and Service Director Michael Dreger to enter contracts to replace the patrol vehicles for an amount not to exceed $103,000.
Council also approved an ordinance for Dreger to enter contracts for the purchase of a new truck for the Distribution Department at a cost no greater than $32,000.
Looking ahead with police cruiser purchase
Dreger said the purchases were previously approved in the budgeting process. The new vehicles will replace current ones that are dated.
