(WTWO/WAWV) – Terre Haute Regional Hospital and HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital reported Friday that they have been awarded an ‘A’ from The Leapfrog Group’s spring 2021 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade, the only area hospitals to receive the watchdog organization’s highest grade. Leapfrog assigns an ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘C’, ‘D’ or ‘F’ grade to general hospitals across the country based on their performance in preventing medical errors, injuries, accidents, infections, and other harm to patients in their care. Of the more than 2,600 hospitals graded nationwide, only 33% earned an “A” grade for meeting some of the industry’s highest standards.

The Leapfrog Group is an independent national watchdog organization committed to health care quality and safety. The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade assigns an “A,” “B,” “C,” “D,” or “F” grade to all general hospitals across the country and is updated every six months. It is the only hospital ratings program based exclusively on hospitals’ prevention of medical errors and other harms to patients in their care.

St Anthony s Memorial Hospital s Wound Healing Center Receives Center Of Distinction Recognition

  HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital’s Wound Healing Center Recognized for Clinical Excellence in Patient Satisfaction and Wound Healing Rates HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital’s Wound Healing Center has once again been named a recipient of the Center of Distinction award by Healogics®, the nation’s largest provider of advanced wound care services. The Wound Healing Center has won this award every year since it opened in 2010. The Center achieved outstanding clinical outcomes for 12 consecutive months, including patient satisfaction rates higher than 92% and a minimum wound healing rate of at least 92% within 28 median days to heal. There were 555 Centers eligible for the Center of Distinction award and 278 achieved the honor. Other Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) hospitals receiving this same honor include HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O’Fallon and HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital in Highland.

HSHS St Anthony s Memorial Hospital Begins Limited Re-Opening Of Front Lobby Entrance For Visitors

Effingham, IL / Effingham Radio Feb 18, 2021 1:48 PM Effingham, IL -(Effingham Radio)-  As of Thursday, February 18, HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital began a limited re-opening of the front lobby entrance to the hospital off Maple Street to allow visitors access to the facility without having to enter through the Prairie Heart entrance or the emergency room. “I am excited to welcome people back to our front door. With our recent change in the visitor guidelines, adding additional accessibility to our building and services is an important step to take,” said Mike Janis, St. Anthony’s interim president and CEO.
