Nagambie has officially been announced as a finalist for the Victorian Top Tourism Town Award.
The inaugural Tourism Industry Council of Victoria (VTIC) program is designed to recognise both well-established and emerging towns in Victoria that deliver successful visitor experiences and are committed to growing visitation.
“We are delighted that one of the towns in Strathbogie Shire has been named as a finalist for this year’s Victorian Top Tourism Towns Awards,” said Strathbogie Shire Mayor Chris Raeburn.
The region is home to magnificent wetlands fed by the majestic Goulburn River with the neighbouring Strathbogie Ranges providing a stunning backdrop to the town.

Ballina named finalist in Top Tourism Town Awards
Locals have long understood the beauty of Ballina, but now holidaymakers are gaining a newfound appreciation for our slice of paradise.
Ballina has been announced as a finalist for the inaugural Top Tourism Town Awards for NSW, along with 15 other ambitious towns from across the state in the ‘Towns with a population of over 5000 residents’ category.
The Top Tourism Town Awards provide communities, business chambers, visitor centres and local governments with the opportunity to showcase what makes their town special and unique, while encouraging tourism development and increasing visitation.
“These awards are all about community collaboration. Groups such as local chambers of commerce, tourism associations, councils and visitor information centres have come together to showcase their town as a tourism destination worthy of celebrating,” said NSW Tourism Industry Council Executive Manager, Greg Binskin.

Central Coast residents are being asked to vote for their favourite local spots, with three named as finalists for the state’s inaugural Top Tourism Town Awards.
There are 42 towns in the running across New South Wales, with the coast being represented by Terrigal, Ettalong and Toukley.
Public voting is open until next Friday with the winners announced on May 27.
