When we look at the reports SA receives on the quality of its education system at a pre- school, primary school and high school level, it seems that our education system ranks right at the bottom. Is this true, and if this is the case, what are we going to do about it? This is our country, and I, as an individual, would want all our students to succeed. It is true that the majority of students in our country were oppressed for centuries and the parents, teachers and students had to make great sacrifices until 1994 when we had a new government installed. Our present government had to make all kinds of concessions to appease the previous white ruling class.
