Police have locked down a part of Wolverhampton city centre after an unexploded WW2 device was discovered today.
The Ring Road St Davids has been cordoned off by the force causing major travel disruption leading into the city.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: Weâve been called after what is believed to be an unexploded WW2 device was discovered in a canal off the Ring Road, Wolverhampton, around 3pm today (April 30).

A busy Birmingham road near a retail park has been closed off after a fatal hit-and-run.
A 64-year-old man has died in the collision, with police now appealing to trace a BMW driver.
Station Road, near to its junction with Iron Lane and close to the Stechford Retail Park, has been cordoned off by police after the incident.
Bus diversions are in place and the road is expected to remain in place for some time.
