Embattled leader moves to Clackamas Education Service District May 27 2021 Oregon City Superintendent Larry Didway, under investigation by state officials, lands top job in countywide group Oregon City Superintendent Larry Didway will become the new leader of the Clackamas Education Service District on July 1, the CESD Board announced at its May 26 meeting. According to the new three-year contract, Didway will make $205,750 annually in the position replacing retiring CESD Superintendent Jada Rupley to lead the district providing various administrative services like printing and background checks for 10 school districts throughout Clackamas County. Didway is making $169,582 annually in his current position, having received a 3% raise in July 2020, and a 5% raise in July 2019. ....

(KTVZ) The Family Access Network Foundation announced that Travis Browning of Redmond has accepted a position on the foundation board. Travis Browning is the SVP Market President with First Interstate Bank for Central Oregon and Gorge Market, which includes the cities of Redmond, Sisters, Prineville, Madras, The Dalles, Hood River, and Bingen. Travis earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Western Oregon State College and has been serving the Central Oregon region since 1999. He has 29 years of combined banking experience as a Loan Officer, Branch Manager, and District Manager. In addition to his professional responsibilities, Travis served on the board for Redmond Economic Development for over 10 years and currently is on the Redmond School District budget committee. The Dr. Frances G. Rhodes Memorial Fellowship will recognize the beloved TAMIU associate professor, College of Arts and Sciences, department of Humanities, who passed away this January. Her service to the university and teaching spanned 38 years and impacted thousands of students. She had retired as a TAMIU senior lecturer in May 2020. TAMIU Phi Kappa Phi president Dr. Lola Norris, an associate professor of Spanish and translation, said the initiative was drawn from one of Dr. Rhodes’ colleagues, Dr. Tonya Huber, a College of Education professor. ....

Jackson’s career began with Window Supply in 1989; he later owned and operated Custom Window Solutions and joined Steel Encounters in 1996 as construction manager. His industry experience, coupled with specialized training in construction management, estimating and quantifying construction productivity, as well as majors in both Business and Physical Education from Western Oregon State College led him to his current position as president and CEO for the company. Jackson was instrumental in founding the Utah Glass Association in 2018, as well as a major employee engagement campaign, driving sales and client service to new levels.
