It was the end of February 2020. Navarro, of Shreveport, Louisiana, met up with a cousin for a six-day vacation in Texas. The two stayed in a hotel, ate out and attended a packed Houston Rockets game activities that felt ordinary then and feel foreign to him now. At the Rockets game, Navarro snapped what would be the last picture on his phone s camera roll before the World Health Organization declared the coronavirus a pandemic on March 11, 2020.

Pandemic just one of many hurdles for Lake Street businesses By Mitti Hicks MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - COVID-19 has put a strain on many Minnesota businesses and forced owners to make difficult decisions.  But there are other challenges for businesses on Minneapolis Lake Street who still can’t reopen following protests after George Floyd was killed.  Pandemic just one of many hurdles for Lake Street Minneapolis businesses The pandemic is just one of many hurdles for Lake Street businesses after the unrest in Minneapolis over the summer. There were more than 2,000 businesses along the Lake Street corridor before COVID-19 and the unrest. Now, months later, some businesses still can’t reopen because they don’t have a physical location and others don’t have power yet. 

Two women cited, released for identity theft

Two Roseburg women were cited and released Wednesday on suspicion of multiple fraud charges after being caught on camera using allegedly stolen credit cards to make purchases on Nov. 14. Sonja Marie Campos, 57, and Kristina Rosa Campos, 32, were tracked down by Roseburg police after identifying the women through video surveillance at the Marshalls department store in the Roseburg Marketplace and at the Roseburg Walmart. According to the report from the Roseburg Police Department, video evidence showed Sonja Campos twice using a stolen credit card to purchase items at Marshalls. The same day, Kristina Campos was also seen on video using a stolen credit card belonging to the same victim at Walmart.
