The heavily-travelled area has been a topic of conversation in recent years due to a number of accidents that have taken place there. Most recently, there was an accident at the Highway 83/Airport Line intersection on Nov. 30 when a tractor-trailer travelling southbound on Airport Line failed to stop at the intersection and collided with an SUV. The transport travelled through the intersection and ended up on its side across Airport Line south of Highway 83.
