Kincardine, ON, Canada / ShorelineToday.ca Apr 21, 2021 6:29 AM It didn’t take long for the Municipality of Kincardine to find a replacement for Anne Eadie as Mayor. Council appointed Ward One Councillor Gerry Glover as the new Mayor at Monday’s meeting. The decision to install Glover in the Mayor’s seat passed by a 5-3 vote. Council were also given the option by staff to appoint an eligible elector, or hold a by-election. There was a petition circulating demanding that the Municipality hold a by-election and the residents vote for a new Mayor. The Shoreline’s Oldies was unable to reach Mayor Glover, the rest of Council, or Acting Clerk Jennifer Clark for a comment.
