WATERVILLE It is hard to capture all that Ann Hill accomplished and meant to the city of Waterville, having been its first female mayor, a two-term city councilor and volunteer on many boards and committees during her many years here.

Beyond that, Hill, who preferred to be called “Nancy,” was a devoted mother and grandmother, loyal friend and champion for all things Colby College, loved art and cinema and never missed attending the annual Maine International Film Festival.

WATERVILLE An $8 million to $10 million development of 70 to 80 apartments in the former Seton Hospital, most recently part of MaineGeneral Medical Center, could start as early as next spring, according to one of the developers.

WATERVILLE Former City Councilor Sydney Mayhew is effusive when reflecting on former Mayor Nick Isgro’s six years in office.
He points to Isgro’s help in revitalizing the downtown, supporting construction of a new Waterville exit off Interstate 95 on Trafton Road, and advocating for those on a fixed income during budget time.
