Set between U.S. 52 to its east and downtown to its west, the next stage envisions up to 10 buildings that will harbor new medical research facilities and mixed-use development â living and retail space â on a 28-acre site.
More specifically, the plan calls for 1 million square feet of new clinical, laboratory and office space, up to 450 residential units and 30,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space that will echo what was built in Phase I.

For the first time in more than a year, the Greensboro City Council is planning to allow members of the public to attend its meetings in-person, but only under certain circumstances.
In a news release, the city said it will permit a limited number of people inside the council chamber beginning July 13. Residents will be allowed to be there only while the specific agenda item they’re interested in is discussed, and will be asked to leave immediately afterward. Masks will be required.
