Greater Western Sydney defender Phil Davis has backed Richmondâs âstrongâ stance on Dustin Martinâs season, after the triple Norm Smith Medallist suffered a lacerated kidney last weekend.
A seemingly innocuous collision with fierce Lion Mitch Robinson had Martin hunched on all fours, gasping for air, and the Tigers later confirmed he would not feature again this season.
The former Giants skipper went through the same experience after a collision with then-Sydney Swan Craig Bird seven years ago.

Positive: Enough entries
There isn’t much to get excited about after a 67-point loss but at least the Crows got enough ball forward.
They finished with 52 inside 50 entries which in comparison to GWS’ 58 was not a complete write-off.
A scoring efficiency of 46.2% is not ideal and a total score of 4.15.(39) is not what you wish for but Matthew Nicks can be somewhat pleased that they had some looks in attack.
