ROCKFORD, MI – Until recently, Meghan Beggs of Ada has primarily depended on her family for support navigating daily life.
Diagnosed with a rare disorder caused by a defect in chromosome 22, Beggs relied on her mother for guidance.
This year, she has taken her first step to independent living.
Beggs, 24, moved into a home with support services built by Homes Giving Hope, a Christ-centered independent community for adults with special needs. She was the first resident in August to move into the five-bedroom women’s home, each bedroom designed for a woman with special needs.
