Mahdlo launches minibus design competition Date published: 12 May 2021 The winning designer will receive a framed print of the winning design to display in their school Mahdlo Youth Zone is calling on young people from across the borough to get creative and enter a competition aimed at coming up with the winning design that will be brought to life and feature on their new minibus. Last year, in the middle of the pandemic, the Mahdlo minibus was stolen and unfortunately has not been recovered. However, through the support of the local community the charity we were able to purchase a new minibus and are now looking to make it stand out and be recognised all across Oldham with the bus being wrapped in the winning design.

West Barns Primary School confirms new headteacher | East Lothian Courier

A THIRD school within a matter of days has confirmed a new headteacher will take the reins. West Barns Primary School will welcome Christine Rednall to the role, with a start date yet to be announced. Currently an education support officer – leadership learning with Midlothian Council, Mrs Rednall will replace Laura Hay, who was moved from acting headteacher at West Barns to depute headteacher at the nearby Dunbar Primary School. Mrs Rednall was previously depute headteacher of Mayfield Primary School in Midlothian. The appointment comes on the heels of Musselburgh Grammar School and North Berwick High School confirming new headteachers.

Ealing’s Broadway Living have announced the winners of their art competition to mark the opening of new Central Square homes. After receiving over a hundred entries from individuals, schools and colleges across Ealing, three winners have been chosen by the judges across three age groups. Broadway Living, an award-winning developer in Ealing, launched the competition in February to celebrate the opening of Central Square, its latest collection of homes at Copley W7. David Colley, regeneration manager for Ealing Council, said: “We’ve had a fantastic response to the art competition, and we’re thrilled so many young people have got involved and showed off their creativity.
