Mr Teoh, who has sat on the board of $12.6 billion broadband company TPG Telecom since the 2020 merger, was convicted of assaulting an Uber driver in September 2019 and was fined $1500 in a Sydney court on Wednesday. Mr Teoh’s father, David Teoh, is the chairman of TPG with a personal fortune estimated to be $2.5 billion, according to The Australian Financial Review 2020 Rich List. A TPG Telecom spokesperson said the company was assessing its options.
