WASHINGTON, May 10, 2021 /PRNewswire/ Today, The Global War on Terrorism (GWOT) Memorial Foundation and MISSION BBQ announced the launch of the latest American Heroes Cup campaign. Nearly half of the proceeds from the sale of the iconic cup will supplement the Foundation s efforts to build a permanent place of reflection on the National Mall to honor all who ve served and are still serving in the Global War on Terrorism.

There are five early stage startups participating in the second gBETA business accelerator program in Cleveland that range from advanced manufacturing augmented reality to an e-scheduling platform for health care that anticipates patient appointments.
The program, created by Milwaukee-based gener8tor, runs over seven weeks and is held twice a year in the spring and fall.
Over the duration of the program that began March 4, gBETA, which works with startups for zero fees or equity, offers coaching and connections to its network of mentors, customers, corporate sponsors and potential investors. The idea is to help these early stage companies generate traction and eventually pitch their businesses to investors, or otherwise build them up to make them more competitive applicants to other equity-based accelerator
Lawmakers Back Bipartisan Call for War on Terrorism Memorial in Washington

Lawmakers have called for a Global War on Terrorism Memorial to be established on the National Mall in honor of service members who were on active duty in the Middle East and elsewhere following the September 11 attacks.
A bipartisan group of 38 lawmakers co-sponsored a bill introduced by Reps. Mike Gallagher (R-WI) and Jason Crow (D-CO) on Thursday that would authorize the creation of the memorial in Washington, D.C.
The veterans of conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan said a memorial to those who died in the War on Terror would provide families with a place to reflect, remember, and heal as President Joe Biden faces a looming deadline for deciding whether or not to withdraw the last U.S. troops from Afghanistan.
