Through Saturday, the Cubs have played 18,805 games since the Modern Era began in 1901.
Only a handful of those games have been different from all that came before and after it.

Cubs top pinch hitters, Part 1 By JohnW53 on Mar 17, 2021, 6:13am CDT +
Pinch hitting has not exactly been the Cubs strength down through the years.
In the 105 seasons since 1916, the first for which baseball-reference.com has batting splits, Cubs pinch hitters rank
20th of the 30 Major League teams in batting average (.223),
26th in on-base percentage (.302), tied for
22nd in slugging (.323) and tied for
24th in on base plus slugging (.625).
Their OBP is the lowest of any non-expansion team. The 4 teams below them are the Astros, Padres, Royals and Marlins.
The all-time leader in OBP is the Blue Jays (.326). The Rockies, second at .324, are No. 1 in average (.242), slugging (.385) and OPS (.709). The Rockies lead the runnerup Jays by 4 points in average, 28 in slugging and 25 in OPS.

64 games for the Reds in 2014.
That is the most games of any pitcher in the Modern Era whose Major League career was just 1 season.

Coutlangus attended the University of South Carolina, then was drafted by and signed with the Giants at age 22. He spent 51 games with San Francisco s Rookie and High-A farm clubs in 2004-05, then was placed on waivers during spring training in 2006 and picked up by the Reds.
After splitting 2006 at Louisville and Chattanooga, he made it to the Reds. In his big league debut on April 7, 2007, he struck out the first batter he faced, to end the sixth inning. He opened the seventh by throwing out a batter who tried to bunt his way on base, then Coutlangus was replaced. He earned a hold, as the Reds beat the Pirates, 6-5.
