Ezra Smith, 25, faces felony charges of assault or battery on certain personnel, fleeing from police, grand theft and malicious injury to property.
On Sunday night, police say he led officers on a high-speed chase before he repeatedly rammed a police car.
The incident was first reported to police at about 7 p.m. Sunday when a caller reported a reckless or possibly drunk driver in a moving van on Overland Road near Cole Road in Boise. When officers tried to pull over the driver, he swerved into the police cars and fled.

MERIDIAN, Idaho Meridian Police are asking for the public s help in identifying an alleged burglary suspect. The incident took place just after midnight on June 16.
Police said the unknown suspect broke into a house and stole multiple items from inside. The suspect also stole a vehicle located near North Hickory Way and East Chateau Drive in Meridian.
The suspect is described as an adult white man who is approximately 5 10 -6 0 .

MERIDIAN, Idaho A Meridian family says someone placed stickers on several of their cars that state they’ve parked illegally. Two of the stickers resembled city stickers, but it wasn’t from the city and one of the stickers contained profanity.
“It s just very unsettling,” said Melissa Medina.
Last month, Melissa Medina and her sister, Vanessa, were at home, when their dad went to move his car and saw a sticker plastered to his car window. It said, Warning, illegal parking. Your car will be towed, in English and in Spanish, and he was really confused because it was parked behind our driveway, Melissa Medina said.

Her mom now says thanks to open communication with her daughter about the incident and the help from the management of the water park, the situation was resolved quickly and led to the arrest of one man.
