Man lives on nothing but beer for Lent to raise money for hospitality sector

One man has made the decision to consume nothing but beer for Lent in a bid to raise money for the hospitality industry, which has taken a massive hit during the coronavirus pandemic.

Del Hall, who hails from Cincinnati, is undertaking the beer-only diet for Lent for the third time, after successfully completing the mammoth challenge in 2019 and 2020, per Cincinnati.com.
According to the publication, Hall lost more than 40 pounds during the 40-day long beer ‘diet’ back in 2019, and since going viral after first announcing the challenge two years ago, the army veteran has been using the now-famous feat to raise money.

A brewery owner in the US is on a strict diet of just beer for 46 days to raise money for the hospitality sector which has been hit hard due to lockdown.
Del Hall has been doing the strict beer-only diet for Lent, a Christian observance lasting six weeks, for a couple of years now.
Lent begins on Ash Wednesday and ends the night before Easter Sunday.
Hall started his beer-only diet on February 17 (Ash Wednesday) and will live on beer until April 4.
North Andover kicks off Restaurant Week
The COVID-19 has ravaged local businesses, especially restaurants, for a year now.
So the North Andover Merchants Association has launched a special Restaurant Week, which kicked off Monday.
This Restaurant Week, dubbed “Restaurant Week: Takeout 2021,” is different from previous ones in that it’s heavily focused on alternatives to dine-in participation.
All week long, restaurants are offering specials for $20.21. Shadi’s, for example, has a New York sirloin dinner for $20.21. At Casa Blanca, that money will get you a fajita combo dinner. And at the loft, they’re whole three-course meals for that price.
