Apr 30, 2021 Ruth E. Harding, 80, of Arch Rock, passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Born March 10, 1941, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late William W. and Elsie E. (Deamer) Swartz. Her husband, Lloyd Harding, whom she married Nov. 8, 1958, passed away on Dec. 6, 2003. She is survived by one daughter, Brenda Gallagher and husband, Patrick, of Mifflintown, one granddaughter, Tonya Yasovsky of Milton, one great-grandson, Zander Gallagher of Mifflintown, and one sister, Darlene Rodkey and husband, Mel, of Lewistown. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters, James Swartz, Sandra White, Lillian Dunn and William Swartz.

Raymond L. Amador 1936 - 2021 Raymond L. Amador, Raymond L. Amador, age 84 years, longtime Great Bend resident, passed away at his home in Great Bend on Wednesday morning, April 7, 2021. Ray was born on Sept. 23, 1936 at Ellinwood, Kan. to Santos and Marie (Sanchez) Amador. He was united in marriage to Isabel Ybarra on July 20, 1961 at Great Bend, Kan. He served in the U.S. Air Force for several years. Ray was a bus driver and custodian for USD-428 in Great Bend for nearly 50 years, having worked as custodian both at Great Bend High School and Great Bend Middle School. For many years he and his wife, Isabel ran Ray and Izzy’s BBQ Catering. Ray enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening, and loved watching sports and spending time with family – especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ray was of the Jehovah Witness faith.

Roy passed away suddenly from a heart attack at home on January 24, 2021, at the age of 77. He was a kind, loving husband, father, grandfather, and dear friend, advisor, motivator, and teacher to many in the industry. He will be missed by the thousands he touched during his career with BFI, USA Waste, Waste Management and Honolulu Disposal. Roy was born on September 16, 1943 in Vancouver, Canada. He worked in the waste collection and disposal industry for 60 years, beginning his career at BFI Waste Systems. He later joined USA Waste and Waste Management, before serving the last 16+ years as the Executive Vice President of Maintenance & Facilities at Honolulu Disposal. Larry Neil Mackneer, 75, of Mifflintown, passed away, Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at his home. He was born July 23, 1945, in Lewistown, to the late Louis and Mary (Freed) Mackneer. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Doris (Johnson) Mackneer. He is also survived by his brother, William Mackneer, their close friends, Jamie and Missy Stains, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings Louis “Son”, Paul, Erma, Robert and Richard. Larry was in the Navy and retired from the Navy Depot, where he was a parachute rigger. Larry was associated with Jehovah’s Witnesses. He loved the outdoors, God’s creation and he found pleasure in talking with everyone.
