The world number 11 outlasted Great Britain’s world number 14 Chloe Birch-Lauren Smith 21-19, 21-16 in 44 minutes in their final Group A match at the Musashino Forest Sport Plaza here, Tuesday. Although it was their 10th win of the season, it was to no avail as the Malaysians were already out of contention for the quarter-finals after losing their first two group matches.
