Shop LAAC’s Virtual Arts & Crafts Fair For Mothers Day Gifts
LAAC News:
The Los Alamos Arts Council (LAAC) cancelled the annual in-person May 1 Arts and Crafts Fair due to the public health restrictions by the New Mexico Governor’s Office. To support vendors who would appear in the fair, and to continue to provide a shopping experience for the Los Alamos community, LAAC has created a Virtual Craft Fair. Patrons who visit the LAAC website https://losalamosartscouncil.org/may-2021-virtual-arts-and-crafts-fair/ can see a list of the craft fair vendors. The website will be up through May 31.
Multiple vendors have joined the Virtual Craft Fair. LAAC organizers feel that it is critical to support vendors during these difficult times. COVID-19 caused many fairs across the nation to cancel, and small vendors are struggling. The virtual fair is a fantastic opportunity to shop for something for mom for Mother’s Day, which is Sunday, or for shoppers to get something for themselves.

Residents have until May 26, 2021 to provide input on new Las Cruces Utilities Natural Gas Rate Review options. The three options are:
1). A full cost implementation of new rates in one year;
2). A limited phased-in cost increase for the two most impacted customer classes (small and large commercial) over three years;

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - For the first time, the Republican Party of New Mexico will host their retreat outside state lines, and have chosen Amarillo as the destination.
The retreat will take place May 14 through the 16 at the Embassy Duites downtown. The location change is due to the COVID-19 restrictions in place in New Mexico.
New Mexico currently limits mass gatherings to less than 150 people. But, since they are expecting over 400 attendees, that was not going to work.
