Liberia: Water & Sewer Management Blames Woeful Sewage System to Over-Population, Low Budgetary Support Liberia: Water & Sewer Management Blames Woeful Sewage System to Over-Population, Low Budgetary Support Share Capitol Hill, Monrovia – The Managing Director of the Liberia Water & Sewer Corporation (LWSC), Duannah Kamara has blamed the country’s failed sewage system to the huge population size of Monrovia and limited budgetary support to the entity. Mr. Duannah was speaking when he and his management team were invited by the House to give reasons why the LWSC has failed over the years to address the issues of leakages of sewage pipes at several points down waterside and Mechlin Street in Monrovia.

IOC-Sponsored Anti-Doping Workshops Set for Saturday

Doping is the use of illegal substances by athletes to make their performance better. An Anti-Doping workshop sponsored by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) for Captains, National Federations, Administrators and Coaches will begin on Saturday, March 13, 2021, at the Apostolic Foundation School at Vamoma House junction, Sinkor. The workshops are being implemented by the Liberia National Olympic Committee (LNOC) on behalf of the IOC and will cover 22 National Federations, 66 coaches, captains, and 22 Administrators. The workshops, according to the facilitators, will be divided into four sections, 20 persons each, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Facilitators will include, Mr. Emmanuel Agu, Chairman of the Anti-Doping Commission of Liberia; Cllr. Sylvester D. Rennie, Vice President of the LNOC; Mr. Mulbah Zaza, President, Liberia Athletics Federation and Mr. Stenifer Stone, Director of Sports, Young Men Christian Association (YMCA).

They are also oozing very offensive scents, making breathing very uneasy in those parts of the city.
