Help commemorate the reopening of the Boston Public Library’s Upham’s Corner branch, which has been closed since 2020 because of the pandemic. Upham’s Corner, one of five branches serving the city’s diverse Dorchester neighborhood, is ready to reopen, and to celebrate, is inviting members of the community to help decorate the sidewalk, wall, and stairwell outside the building with chalk and other materials. The library has teamed up with Fairmount Cultural Corridor to welcome artists of all ages and abilities. In addition, local artist Cagen Luce will be working on a permanent mural that will decorate the building’s exterior, on the corner of Bird Street and Columbia Road.
