CHAMPAIGN, IL, May 13, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) Today, the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Facilities & Services (F&S) announces the final stage of completion for Solar Farm 2.0, totaling 12.3 megawatts (DC), with the planting phase of the farm’s pollinator habitat commencing this month. The project is the second solar farm constructed at the U of I and achieves clean energy sustainability goals outlined in the university’s Illinois Climate Action Plan (iCAP), nearly four years ahead of schedule. Bremen/London, 15 April 2021 Energiekontor and Capital Dynamics, an independent global private asset management firm, today announced the acquisition of a 100 percent equity stake in the Sorbie onshore wind project from Energiekontor AG. Sorbie, a 13 MW shovel-ready, subsidy-free onshore wind project located in North Ayrshire, Scotland, represents Capital Dynamics second acquisition of 2021 from Energiekontor and follows the 50 MW Longhill wind farm transaction in March.

GIBSON CO., Ind. (Inside INdiana Business) Merrillville-based Northern Indiana Public Service Co. LLC has signed a Build Transfer Agreement with the developer of a 200-megawatt solar farm in Gibson County.
The Elliott Solar project is one of several being undertaken by Capital Dynamics’ Clean Energy Infrastructure business in Indiana.
Construction is expected to begin in summer 2022 and the solar plant would become operational the following summer.
Under terms of the agreement, Capital Dynamics will construct the project, and NIPSCO will enter into a joint venture once construction is complete.
