Counties and states are incentivizing vaccination. Will Teton County?


As other counties and states make headlines by tying COVID-19 vaccinations to benefits like free drinks, Teton County is wondering what role it can play in incentivizing people to get vaccinated against COVID-19.
No decisions have been made and the Teton County Board of County Commissioners is not unanimous in what it wants to do, if anything.
But it did begin the conversation Monday when Commissioner Luther Propst asked to hear more from the Teton County Health Department about what would be helpful.
After that morning’s meeting, Propst told the News&Guide he didn’t want a resurgence of the virus. COVID-19 case levels have been low, with the county reporting a seven-day average of daily new cases at 2.3 Sunday. That’s the lowest level seen in Jackson Hole since the end of June 2020, when cases began to climb towards their summer peak. U.S. Senator-Elect Lummis announces senior staff, taps longtime Wyoming leaders & policy experts for key positions – Sheridan Media


In a press release from her office, U.S. Senator-elect Cynthia Lummis announced a slate of longtime Wyoming leaders and policy experts who will be serving in key roles in both her Washington, D.C. and Wyoming offices.
“Having experienced Wyoming leaders at the helm of my office is a top priority,” Lummis said in the release. “Each of these team leaders brings a wealth of experience and expertise that will help ensure we can be effective and fast in delivering real results for the people of Wyoming.”
Kristin Walker will serve as the Senator-elect’s Chief of Staff. A graduate of Jackson Hole High School and the College of William and Mary, Walker is a seasoned communications and political strategist who worked for former Wyoming U.S. Representative Barbara Cubin, retiring U.S. Senator Mike Enzi, Governor Mark Gordon and Republicans in the Wyoming State Legislature.
