Bike-lifters gang busted, eight motorcycles recovered

July 21, 2021 Rawalpindi:Police have busted two bike-lifter and dacoit gangs and arrested their four members besides recovering eight stolen motorcycles, cash Rs150,000 and other items from their possession. According to a police spokesman, police team under the supervision of SHO Pirwadhai Police Station was constituted which after hectic efforts managed to net two accused namely Umair and Ahmed, who were bike-lifter and dacoit’s gang members and allegedly involved in several cases registered in different police stations. Police recovered four stolen motorcycles, cash Rs150,000 and other items from their possession.In another raid, Ratta Amral police rounded up Ali Haider and Hamza, two bike-lifters and recovered four stolen motorcycles from their possession.

11 killed in Kohistan road accidents Peshawar May 6, 2021 MANSEHRA: At least 11 persons, including a man and his two siblings, were killed in two separate road accidents in Lower Kohistan on Wednesday. The first incident occurred at Karakoram Highway near Karo area of Lower Kohistan when an ambulance plunged into a ravine. The ambulance, carrying a body from Swat, was on its way to the Kandia valley of Upper Kohistan. The locals rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital where doctors pronounced eight of them dead. Those killed in the incident were identified as Muhammad Umair (driver) belonging to Swat, Khushal Khan, Khan Bahadar and his wife, Fardous, Noorul Haq and his son and a daughter, all belonged to Asghal area of Upper Kohistan.

Zoological Society to help researchers publish work Islamabad March 13, 2021 Islamabad : The Applied Zoological Society of Pakistan has decided to launch a research journal to provide researchers with a platform to publish significant scientific work addressing the local issues. This was disclosed by Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Muhammad Ali during an award distribution ceremony for international conference on applied zoology at the university here on Friday. The event was jointly organised by the QAU and Government College University, Faisalabad (GCUF) in collaboration with the Applied Zoological Society of Pakistan (AZSP) with an aim to share, exchange and discuss new perspectives about the scientific advancements in various fields of applied zoological sciences.
