केंद्रीय बैंक ने यह कार्रवाई पेमेंट सिस्टम डाटा के स्थानीय स्टोरेज के नियमों का पालन न करने पर की है। बैंक ने कहा कि अत्यधिक समय और पर्याप्त अवसर देने के बावजूद मास्टरकार्ड ने पेमेंट सिस्टम डाटा के स्थानीय स्टोरेज को लेकर जारी दिशा-निर्देशों का पूरी तरह से पालन नहीं किया है। केंद्रीय बैंक ने कहा है कि उसके इस आदेश का मौजूदा कार्ड ग्राहकों पर कोई असर नहीं होगा।
