The Maharashtra Health Department stated that the state has reported 58,924 fresh infections; a day after reporting the highest number of 68,631 cases on Sunday. The total number of cases now reached 38,98,262.Unfortunately, 351 people died due to the COVID virus on Monday. The death toll in the state reached 60,824. The recovery rate in the state is 81.04 per cent. There are presently 6,76,520 active cases in Maharashtra.Meanwhile, Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope has taken his vaccination shot on Monday. He had tested positive for COVID-19 in February.
