Canadian Pacific Railway Reporting Fuel Spill in Minnesota
Around 6 p.m. July 13, Canadian Pacific Railroad reported to the state duty officer, an employee of the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, they had spilled 1,000 gallons of diesel fuel.

(TNS) - A diesel fuel spill at the Canadian Pacific rail yard in Pig’s Eye Regional Park recently sent hazmat crews scrambling to keep hundreds of gallons of fuel from entering Pig’s Eye Lake .
Crews last week put out booms and absorption pads across Battle Creek and set up a light tower for night work, said Tom Dimond, an East Side advocate and former St. Paul City Council member. Dimond said workers on site told him they felt confident they had the spill contained, but some city officials remain concerned about learning of the spill through indirect means.

Children’s Theatre announces digital spring lineup [Pioneer Press, St. Paul, Minn.]
Dec. 20 Children’s Theatre Company announced a new season of digital productions and a new “All Access Pass” for families to watch the digital shows.
CTC had planned to produce in-person stagings of “Seedfolks” and “Annie” this spring, but due to pandemic precautions, “Seedfolks” will be offered digitally and “Annie” is moved to the holidays in 2021 (specific dates will be announced early next year), according to a news release.
The Minneapolis children’s theater company worked with Twin Cities PBS on a professionally produced taping of “Seedfolks” in 2014. Actor Sonja Parks plays 11 different characters in “Seedfolks,” including Ana, the nosey neighbor; Curtis, the weightlifter; and Kim, a young girl who plants six very special lima beans. The production toured across Minnesota, the United States and to Cape Town, South Africa. It goes on sale Feb. 15.
