Former Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator and Cincinnati Bengals head man Marvin Lewis was among the early candidates to be interviewed for the Detroit Lions head coaching vacancy.
According to ESPN, Lions came away impressed by Marvin Lewis in his recent interview. He’s in play there.
Lewis’ career regular season record of 131-122-3 may cause some to shy away from embracing him as the potential replacement for Matt Patricia.

Former Baltimore Ravens running back Lorenzo Taliaferro died Wednesday at age 28, according to the York-Poquoson Sheriff s Office in Virginia.
Deputies were dispatched to an apartment in Williamsburg, Va., around 3 p.m. after the sheriff s office said they received a call from someone in need of medical attention later identified as Taliaferro. After medics arrived, Taliaferro was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities didn t provide a cause of death, however, a family member told FOX 45 of Baltimore that he died of a heart attack.

Ravens head coach
John Harbaugh released a statement Thursday (December 17), relaying the team’s reaction to the news. “We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Lorenzo Taliaferro. He was a kind, smart, respectful, and determined young man –– someone always committed to his teammates and well-liked by everyone in our organization” Harbaugh said.
“We extend our heartfelt condolences to Lorenzo’s family. May he rest in peace.”
In 2014, Taliaferro was selected by the Ravens in the 4th round of that year’s NFL Draft coming out of Coastal Carolina University. He was with the team for three years, rushing 339 yards, and 5 touchdowns before being cut before the start of the 2017 season. He joined the Canadian Football League in 2018.
