KITE Victers, the educational channel of the Kerala government, has launched awareness programmes and live-phone-in to help people prevent COVID-19 in the wake of a surge in infections in the state.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, during his recent public address, had indicated the use of channels like KITE Victers and alike for broadcasting COVID-19 prevention awareness programmes including live phone-In programmes which would clear the doubts and address concerns of many.

Thiruvananthapuram, May 6 : After bringing succour to thousands of students in Kerala last year with the launch of online classes, the state government s KITE Victers channel will now offer a live phone-in-cum-broadcast for Covid prevention as the state reels under a Covid surge, an official said on Thursday.
The state saw 41,953 people turn Covid positive from 1,63,321 samples tested in the past 24 hours on Wednesday and the TPR stood at 25.68 per cent and the total number of active positive cases in the state stood at 3,75,658, while 23,106 people was cured taking the total cured to 13,62,363.
The Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education (KITE) has launched audio books for all students, with a special emphasis on visually challenged children, an official said. KITE has also released audio books and sign language adapted classes of revision portions highlighting on the focus areas for classes 10 and 12 for the annual examination, as part of its First Bell Digital Classes aired through the KITE VICTERS educational channel. K. Anvar Sadath, CEO, KITE said all revision classes in audio books shall be heard in an enjoyable way like listening to a radio programme and are easily downloadable and shareable in mp3 format and this is the first such module in the country in the general education sector.
