BOSSIER CITY, La- When Bossier Sheriff Julian Whittington developed a drone unit at the Bossier Sheriffâs Office four years ago, he envisioned a law enforcement officer tool that would enhance public safety. With extensive training, a dedicated team of deputies, and state-of-the-art aerial systems, the Bossier drone program has exceeded expectations.
âWe do have a pretty unique team,â said Cpl. Bryan Sprankle, Team Leader, Bossier Sheriffâs Office Drone Team. âWeâve got some well-trained pilots and some cutting-edge aircraft, and weâve become somewhat of a regional asset. Weâve assisted different units from all over the place, from Shreveport to Caddo, on down to Natchitoches, during the hurricanes that hit the southern coast.â

BPSO is encouraging volunteers around the parish to join us for the big cleanup day on Saturday, April 17, as we participate in âOperation Clean Sweep.â
