Cardinal Stritch University has named Dan Scholz, a longtime professor and administrator, as its next president.
Scholz, whose new appointment was approved by both the university s board and the leadership team of the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi, has spent nearly two decades at Cardinal Stritch.
He worked as a faculty member and department chair of the university s religious studies department, executive director of the Saint Clare Center for Ministry and Leadership, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and, most recently, vice president of academic affairs.
“Dr. Scholz has shown tremendous leadership during his career at Cardinal Stritch University, and in particular over the last year amidst the global pandemic,” board co-chairs Mary Kellner and Gerard Randall said in a statement. “He demonstrated a student-first focus that permeates the university community.
