The public health emergency arising due to the pandemic, as well as cascading humanitarian crises in several countries and communities, only made the job of the police even more challenging.

In an important session hosted by the Global Law Enforcement and Public Health Association (GLEPHA), voices of senior police officers from a few South Asian nations, as well as experts from the World Health Organization (WHO), helped put the spotlight on pandemic policing.

Mumbai, Jan 6 : Composer Jayant Sankla has revealed a bit of his creative process for the music of the upcoming psychological thriller, Taxi No. 24.
Directed by Saumitra Singh, the film features Mahesh Manjrekar, Anangsha Biswas and Jagjeet Sandhu in pivotal roles. I have tried giving full justice to the background music. Because the film is a psychological thriller, I have kept shades of grunting sounds to make the impact deep and enthralling. The theme track will give the feel of eighties classic Rock n Roll, with rugged guitar riff. I have also composed a track Jannat dikha du with a jazz arrangement and can t wait for reactions to the song, he said.
For Yuba College mathematics professor Mukta Sharma, the holiday season is a great time to step back and reflect.
âOur family gets together and shares positive memories of the year, which spreads feelings of love and gratitude,â Sharma said. â(The) holiday season is not about shopping and gifts. Itâs about thoughtfulness, mindfulness, spreading kindness and cheer.â
Sharma lives in Yuba City with her husband and two daughters and normally around this time of year they would take a family trip.
âWe decorate our Christmas tree together. We bake together, play games, take brisk walks, bike rides to refresh and rejuvenate,â Sharma said. âThis year is definitely different from past years. We will be staying home, celebrating with our close family members.â
