PESHAWAR: The government departments, political parties and civil society organisations held events, rallies and corner meetings across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Friday to express solidarity with the people of the India-held Kashmir in their struggle for realising their inalienable right to self-determination under the UN resolutions.
Chief Minister Mahmood Khan led a rally in the provincial capital, where a large number of schoolchildren, elected representatives, political activists and government functionaries were present. The rally started from the chief minister’s secretariat and ended at the Governor’s House.

ISLAMABAD:
The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has directed the Auditor General of Pakistan (AGP) to obtain all relevant record on the issue of Broadsheet and submit a report to it within 10 days after which a strategy for recovery of money will be formulated.
Broadsheet head Kaveh Moussavi, in an interview to a web channel, had said that the Sharif family had assets not only in the UK but across the globe, adding that the family required plenty of explanation about their resources of amassing these assets.
Shopkeepers fined for selling substandard food items

MARDAN: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Safety and Halal Authority officials here on Tuesday fined bakeries, hotels and food shops for poor hygienic conditions and sale of substandard food.
Assistant Director Mohammad Ibrahim Khan told the media that he along with Food Safety Officer Madiha conducted a major operation on Shamsi Road.
He added that 32 kilograms of unhealthy milk was discarded on the spot and the shop was sealed. He added that heavy fines were imposed on grocery stores for selling expired items. He added that about 15 kg of unhealthy meat from various hotels was discarded during the raids.
