CRESTLINE The Village of Crestline has been selected to be a stop on the proposed Amtrak passenger rail line that would connect Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, and Cincinnati.
CRESTLINE - Passenger trains might one day make Crestline a stop in an effort to connect Cleveland, Columbus and Cincinnati by rail, Amtrak announced Friday. Crestline, we think, would be a perfect place, Derrick James, the company s senior manager of government affairs, said while explaining a new station would need to be built midway between Cleveland and Columbus.
The entire project is contingent upon congressional approval. There is no timeline for its progression. The cost is unknown.
The goal is for passenger trains to stop in Crestline six times each day three of the trips heading north and the other three south.
