Warm up the auger by drilling the ice into Swiss cheese and then try every hole for perch.

Ice conditions in the area have improved a bit on account of the recent cold temperatures. This is nice, considering we have been dealing with one of warmest Januarys ever. We are still behind as far as comfortable truck travel goes for most area lakes, but we are getting closer.
Fish Lake Reservoir has the only confident ice road I can think of near the Twin Ports. Otherwise we still encourage anglers to travel by ATV, snowmobile or walk.
