Twisters Defeated By Rebels

The OA Twisters Baseball team traveled to SW-Hanover on Monday, May 3rd. Unfortunately, the Twisters found themselves on the losing end for the second game in a row. They lost to the Rebels 6-2. Sophomore Charlie Schebler got the start for the Twisters and went 4 innings, giving up 3 runs (all earned), on 4 hits, walking 3, and striking out 5. Sr. Riley Schebler came in and pitched the last 2 innings, giving up 3 runs (all earned), on 4 hits, walking 1, and striking out 1. At the plate, the Twisters were led by Sr. Chris Hautman who was 2 for 3 with 2 singles, and 1 RBI. The Twisters look to rebound as they face the Milan Indians on Thursday, May 6h at 5:00 PM. This game will be played at the Plex instead of the Twisters home field of Liberty Park.

Pacer diamondmen earn first victory of the season   The Switzerland County Pacer varsity baseball team has had a busy week, earning one win in three contests. South Ripley   On Tuesday, April 13th, the Pacers traveled to South Ripley, and fell to the Raiders by a score of 6-0.   Offensively, Bryce Turner had a hit and a walk in three official plate appearances, and also picked up a stolen base.   Kaleb Koons also had a hit in three times to the plate and had a stolen base; as did Austin Bosaw. Trace Johnson was 1-for-2 at the dish with a base hit and a steal; and Ben Hicks picked up a steal after reaching base by being hit with a pitch.

We have a multitude of problems, but now we are afforded a new approach to repair and rebuild the American psyche. Hopefully it will be built on honesty and trust. Such was the case at the end of the Civil War in 1865. America had been broken into two factions, and the healing process was daunting indeed. Some soldiers returned from war suffering from amputation, drug addiction, or mental stress. In other cases, the soldiers had died and orphans were left in need of care and understanding.
