A WREXHAM councillor has shared her excitement for the future with Hollywood stars now taking control at the town football club. Queensway representative for Plaid Cymru Carrie Harper has shared her delight that the Wrexham AFC takeover put forward by actors Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds has officially gone through. She told the Leader how, whilst swept up in the initial excitement of this news, it’s great to take a moment to reflect on the “immense opportunities” for the town and see that Wrexham is “on the up”. She shared a video on her social media page praising the Hollywood stars for their commitment to Wrexham – not just as a town, but as a wider community.
