“Financing won’t be a big problem. The problem is spending the money on the right area at the right time,” said the former advisor to the caretaker government, pointing out that the local banks are eager to lend the government which will also get help from abroad.
Mirza Azizul praised the proposals made in the budget on Thursday to raise allocations for social protection, agriculture, and job generation amid the coronavirus pandemic. But he added, “I think the targets set in the budget are acceptable. But there is less possibility of getting the budget implemented.”

DHAKA, March 13, 2021 (BSS) – Speakers at a webinar today said that Bangladesh is now an example before those who once were critical about the country and the pioneer of such gains is Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina herself.
They also suggested the government to utilize the potentials for gaining the eligibility for graduating from the least development country (LDC) status to a developing country as well as about the possible operations to face the upcoming challenges.
The speakers said this at a webinar titled “Graduation to developing nation: Huge gains from Prime Minister’s development march” organized by Canadian University of Bangladesh.
