Local developers Weston Inc. and DiGeronimo Cos. constructed the building at West 110th Street and Berea Road for multiple tenants. However, it was fully leased by Amazon shortly after completion in 2019.

Laois business wins top award for innovation for cutting edge work with graduate Reporter: news@leinsterexpress.ie Graduate Conor Dolan is celebrating after Midland Steel was recognised for its innovation ability by InterTradeIreland. Conor has now secured employment with the company. ); Midland steel in Mountmellick has been recognised for its innovation capabilities by cross-border body, InterTradeIreland.   The family-owned Laois manufacturer which supplies offsite reinforced steel products to building projects in Ireland and the UK is one of only four business in Ireland to be awarded Exemplar status. The firm participated in InterTradeIreland’s Innovation Boost programme- which supports business development and innovation by partnering companies with third level institutions and high calibre graduates. InterTradeIreland also provides funding to the business to help pay for a graduate, who works directly with the firm to deliver new products or processes.

Attempted delay to sell council land to a growing Laois business Reporter: );   ); A piece of council land in Laois is to be sold to an expanding local company, despite an attempted delay by a councillor who is concerned that the price is too low. The serviced 3 hectare (7.5 acres) site is in Junction 17 National Enterprise Park, and is to be bought by Midland Steel Reinforcement Supplies Ltd, a Mountmellick company. The land sale was proposed by Cllr Paddy Bracken from Mountmellick, seconded by Cllr Ollie Clooney. Cllr Bracken said he had been assured by the company’s manager Tony Woods that the existing jobs in Mountmellick will not be lost.
