The Mitchell Board of Education on Monday approved a new five-year busing agreement with Foreman Sales & Service for bus service through the 2025-26 school year.
The decision came at the regular board meeting Monday night at the Mitchell Career & Technical Education Academy Commons.
Joe Graves, superintendent for the Mitchell School District, said Foreman Sales & Service were looking to make infrastructure improvements to their facility in Mitchell, and approached the district about a potential contract renewal before proceeding with the work.

PIERRE, SD – Graduates of South Dakota Technical Colleges are landing jobs and good paying ones. The Board of Technical Education got a report on placements and salaries at their meeting last week.

Deputy Executive Director Scott DesLauriers says they tracked those who graduated in 2019 and 2020. “The last column reflects total placement. These are students employed in continuing education and in the military. This has an impressive 99.2 percent placement rate. Almost 100 percent of the students who graduate are employed, in continuing education or are in the military.”

Judy was born July 29, 1963, in Bad Kreuznach, Germany, to Sylvester and Peggy (Crouch) Watts. She attended grade school in Harlem, Georgia. She completed her schooling through the 11th grade in Primghar, Iowa, and received her GED in 1982 from NCC in Sheldon, Iowa. She made a career of working with people. For five years she worked as a Home Health and Hospice Aide in various communities around Northwest Iowa. During that time, she also drove school bus for Sanborn Christian School. She was employed by Village Northwest Unlimited for over 10 years, working in various positions, all involving working with adults with disabilities. For five years she was paraprofessional with the Mobridg
