The North American Hockey League (NAHL) has announced its monthly player awards for the month of March. The Bauer Hockey NAHL Forward of the Month is
Will Margel from the Johnstown Tomahawks. The Bauer Hockey NAHL Defenseman of the Month is
Grant Docter from the Minnesota Wilderness. The Vaughn NAHL Goaltender of the Month is
Jake Sibell from the Aberdeen Wings.
Only players who are nominated by their respective teams are considered for the NAHL monthly awards.
Bauer Hockey NAHL Forward of the Month: Will Margel, Johnstown Tomahawks
Johnstown Tomahawks forward Will Margel, 20, had a huge month of March to help his club widen their lead atop the NAHL’s East Division. The 5’9/167 lbs. native of Potomac, MD, led all NAHL players with 17 points during the month in just nine games played. The included 12 goals and five assists to go along with a +7 rating for the University of New Hampshire recruit. Margel, who is currently on a 15-game point streak

16-year-old goalie Paxton Geisel stopped 36 shots as the St. Cloud Norsemen won their first game of the season, defeating the Minot Minotauros 3-1.
Odessa 2 @ Shreveport 3 (OT) - The Shreveport Mudbugs scored their second overtime win in consecutive nights as Dawson Sciarrino buried a highlight reel goal midway through the extra period. Sciarrino finished with a goal and an assist. Matt Weber’s power play goal got the Mudbugs on the board after Odessa got out to a 2-0 lead. Dilan Peters’ first goal of the season tied the game at two to force overtime and led to Sciarrino’s heroics. Cole Hudson picked up the win in between the pipes as he made 37 saves. Joey Musa and Ben Doherty were the goal scorers for Odessa and Connor Hasley made 31 stops.
