Industry - Season 2 - Alex Alomar Akpobome & Adam Levy Join Cast + Indy Lewis Promoted To Series Regular

The cast of HBO/BBC’s investment banking drama Industry is adding three new series regulars for Season 2. Alex Alomar Akpobome (Twenties, For All Mankind) and Adam Levy (The Witcher) have joined the series, from creators Mickey Down and Konrad Kay. Additionally, Indy Lewis, who guest starred in an episode of Season 1, has been named a series regular. Akpobome will play Danny Van Deventer, a wonder-kid Executive Director who recently landed in London from Pierpoint New York. Handsome, loquacious and charming – Danny is a head-turning presence on the trading floor and a potential role model for the bank’s younger recruits.

Industry, plays Karen in the series from Unforgotten show-runner Chris Lang, a seemingly upstanding member of the community as a school governor and involved, single mother. The drama starts with Katherine Kelly s teacher, Sally Wright, being released from prison after being wrongly convicted of murdering her pupil, with whom she was rumoured to have had an affair. Sally served five years inside, lost her job and her marriage to parole officer Sam ( Marcella s Jamie Bamber), who is now about to marry Burford s Karen. ITV She is called Karen, which has become a byword for suspicious, Burford told Good Housekeeping UK. So it s understandable if we don t immediately trust her. She has this need to belong and to have a status and stake in the community. It s that need to keep it all together that drives her. And suddenly this news comes out about Sally, and it starts pulling at a thread and it doesn t stop.

ATX Television Festival 2021: Connie Britton s White Lotus, Hacks, more

Austin 360 ATX Televisions Festival on May 13 announced a partnership with HBO that will bring exclusive content to this year s online event.  Highlights revealed by the fest (June 11-20) include: The premiere of “The White Lotus” starring Connie Britton, a show set in an idyllic tropical resort where everything isn’t as it seems ; the screening and panel will happen closing night. The creative team of “In Treatment” will appear with cast members Uzo Aduba, Anthony Ramos, Quintessa Swindell, John Benjamin Hickey and Liza Colón Zayas.  HBO Max’s Jean Smart-starring “Hacks” will get a panel with creative team Lucia Aniello, Jen Statsky and Paul W. Downs and stars Hannah Einbinder and Carl Clemons-Hopkins.
