Mashantucket The Mashantucket Pequot Tribe and Pequot Health Care, a Mashantucket-owned health care management company serving Native American tribes, announced it is recognizing Connecticut GI, a Rocky Hill-based gastroenterology practice, as a preferred partner.
Pequot Health Care will promote awareness of Connecticut GI’s services to its members and commercial self-funded plans.
“At Pequot Health Care, we believe that both the patients and the employers that provide self-funded health benefits deserve better value health where the quality, safety, and experience is higher, and the total cost of care is lower,” Dr. Setu Vora, the Mashantuckets’ chief medical officer, said in a statement.

LEDYARD, Conn. The Mashantucket Pequot Tribe said it has vaccinated over 900 people in its community, as well as public safety personnel and casino employees.
Mashantucket Pequot TribalChairman Rodney Butler told FOX61 that the tribe has been administering the Moderna vaccine to healthcare workers, public safety personnel, Tribal Elders, Tribal community members, and employees of Foxwoods Resort Casino. The MPTN Vaccine Team appreciates the government to government collaboration with the state of Connecticut and our regional public health partners, Butler said in a statement released to FOX61 on Tuesday.
