Rajkot: A 24-year-old man was beaten up and forced to run continuously for almost three hours on Monday in Maliya Miyana village of Morbi district. The video of the incident was being shared in the social media for last few days. A police complaint in this regard was lodged on Friday when the victim’s family come to know about the incident after watching the video. The victim has been identified as Amad Hussain Parik. According to the police complaint, the victim was forced to run and also beaten up by Tido allies Kaliyo Bharvad over a trivial issue involving the goats owned by the accused. After going through the traumatic incident, Parik was so scared that he didn’t tell anybody about it.

Three accused in police custody Rajkot: Three persons, who had allegedly stabbed a 45-year-old man to death at Navlakhi port in Morbi on February 22, were arrested on Wednesday. The three accused Suryadeepsinh Jadeja, his brother Mayursinh Jadeja and Mayursinh Velubha Jadeja were nabbed on the outskirts of their native village Mota Dahisara in Maliya Miyana taluka. The trio had gone to the port following arguments over phone with the victim Dashrathsinh Jadeja, who works at the port in a coal company. Police said that Mayursinh Jadeja had called Dashrathsinh a few times on the night of February 22 and had heated arguments over loading the coal first in their trucks at the port. Following heated arguments on calls wherein they hurled abuses at each other, Suryadeepsinh, his brother and Mayursinh Velubha went to the port in an SUV and stabbed Dashrathsinh. The victim was taken to government hospital in Morbi but he was declared dead before admission.

Nine accused who were arrested with the seized laptops at Maliya Miyana police station in Morbi district. RAJKOT: A fake call centre conning British citizens was busted at Moti Barar village in Morbi district on Wednesday night. The gang chose a village to operate the call centre as several such operations have been busted in Ahmedabad and Rajkot in the past. Cops from Maliya Miyana police station had received information about the call centre being operated from a two-storey building behind a petrol pump in the village. On raiding the place, nine persons were found working at the call centre. All nine are residents of Ahmedabad.
