Adrian District Library program will celebrate women in history By Daily Telegram staff ADRIAN Following a successful “Christmas Traditions” program, educator and entertainer, Martina Mathisen will again collaborate with the Adrian District Library for a special “Women in History” program. Scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday, in correlation with March s Women’s History Month, Mathisen will tell the stories of some of history’s most dynamic women, including Annie Okalye, Harriet Tubman and Madame Curie, as well as other impactful women. Registration is required to attend this virtual presentation. To register, visit the library’s website, or call 517-265-2265. Once registered, an emailed invitation to the virtual program will be sent out by the library the afternoon of the event.

Littlejohn to be guest speaker at special Quinn church service STEUBENVILLE Quinn Memorial African Methodist Episcopal Church, 515 N. Fifth St., will wrap up its observance of Black History Month on Sunday with Jonathan Littlejohn as the finale in a series of special speakers for the church’s 11 a.m. Livestream Online or Zoom service. A graduate of Steubenville High School, Littlejohn is the son of Vickie Littlejohn, a retired educator, and Edward Sr., a real estate developer. As Jonathan learned the business ethics of his family, he always wanted to become a businessman and open his own business, a church committee member explained.
