FlyDogz, near 31st and ‘O’ Streets is serving the less fortunate one hot dog at a time.
When you walk into FlyDogz, you’re greeted with a sign asking if you want to ‘Fly it Forward.’ For $2.99 you can purchase a hot dog for someone less fortunate and from there, it gets added to their special board in the shop. Every ‘Fly it Forward’ meal you buy goes up on that board and that’s the number of free meals that can go to someone who can’t afford it.
Clinic introduces collaborative care
Board-certified consulting psychiatrist Caroline Fisher recently joined the pediatric team with a new collaborative care model at The Corvallis Clinic.
Fisher has 20 years of clinical experience and 13 years of progressive leadership experience overseeing and building psychiatric delivery systems. She brings a collaboration-based psychiatric service model that is patient-driven and centered on the clinic.
Collaborative care is an evidence-based way to deliver treatment for mental illness, different from what most people are familiar with. In this model, patients make treatment decisions with their primary care providers, but get expert treatment oversight by a psychiatrist. That means patients are treated faster, not having to wait for a referral to a community psychiatrist.

The Covid-19 pandemic has increased disparities and social fragmentation, the 2021 report concludes.
Dubbed a ârefugeâ where visitors are welcome to ârelax and slowly take in the tales of romance, philosophy and footloose souls,â a new art gallery called Tellurado Studio opened on Nov. 27 on the east end of Main Street. The gallery features paintings exclusively by fine artist Markus Pierson. In the 1980s, inspired by Joni Mitchellâs song âCoyoteâ â about a reckless Cassanova called âCoyoteâ â Pierson painted billboards by day for a living and started painting coyotes at night.
âI felt the Coyote Series was perfect for Telluride,â said gallery owner Mitch Schwenke. âBecause of the message of adventure and romance. So I trademarked the term âTellurado.ââ
